Currently Head of Outreach at Knowsley Central School. Areas of expertise are SEN and behaviour. Has been instrumental in the development of the Knowsley Behaviour Strategy.
Can support schools to review and develop their SEND policy and practice. this could be at a strategic level or working with staff at an operational level to develop skills and knowledge.
Has recently carried out an SEND audit in a primary school. This involved reviewing the school’s SEN policy and SEN Information Report alongside other SEN and progress documentation. Also carried out interviews with the Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher and SENCo. The resulting audit report included clear recommendations to improve and develop SEND practice in the school.
Currently a lead specialist teacher on the Learning Support Team. Her area of expertise is SEND.
Can provide support for SENCo, SEND assessment e.g. SPLD, SEND staff training, SPLD specialist teaching, Team Teach training.
Has carried out SEND staff training e.g. Receptive Language and Vocabulary through whole school INSET. Analysis of SEND register, SEND data analysis, EHCP application support, SEND assessment/observations e.g. SPLD alongside small group specialist teaching.

Has supported middle leaders from other schools in providing training for G&T. Has also led training and supported leaders on aspects of performing arts and teaching & learning. Has previously been an AST in Knowsley and carried out pieces of research which have translated into practical work in the classroom leading to raised standards.
